Try Scuba Diving
If you’ve been thinking about learning to scuba dive but are not sure if you’re ready to enroll in the scuba certification class, our Discover Scuba Diving Experience is the perfect way to test the waters. In our short try scuba class you’ll get to learn some basic scuba skills and take your first breaths underwater.

STEP ONE
INDEPENDENT STUDY
Prepare for your Discover Scuba Diving experience with the PADI DSD eLearning. Use your computer or mobile device to learn diving safety fundamentals before you get in the water.
Contact us for access to the DSD eLearning and to schedule your first scuba diving experience.

STEP TWO
AT THE DIVE SHOP
We will fit you with the provided scuba gear and explain how to use it. In the pool you’ll practice basic diving skills followed by free time to play underwater.
Total time commitment: 2-3 hours
Minimum age: 10
Bubble Maker Program Available For 8 and 9 Year-olds

The eLearning takes approximately 20-30 minutes.
The classroom and pool is approximately 2-3 hours.

The dive shop will provide all the equipment you'll need. You will bring a swimsuit and a towel.
If you have any personal snorkeling items that you would like to use, bring it with you and we will check to make sure it meets the needs of the class.

Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a physician before diving.
Avoid disappointment, download and review the Diver Medical form to ensure you won’t need a physician’s approval to dive before enrolling in a scuba course.
If you have questions about medical fitness to dive, contact the shop and we can help answer them.

Discover Scuba Diving is not a certification, but you can apply what you learned toward a PADI Open Water Diver certification. You can always ask the shop for what the next steps will be.

Due to the nature of our course we are unable to offer refunds, if you need to cancel.
If you let us know 2+ weeks in advance you can reschedule to another month for free.
If cancelling with less than 2 weeks notice there will be a rescheduling fee.
